Designed for the Mac Pro and built within a full-height MPX module, the 32TB Pegasus R4i RAID Storage MPX Module from Promise Technology lets you expand the internal storage of your Mac Pro. The R4i fits into one of the Mac Pro's MPX slots and has four SATA III drive bays, each of which is equipped with an 8TB 7200 rpm SATA III 3.5" hard drive, for a total storage capacity of 32TB. Formatted HFS+, the R4i comes preconfigured as RAID 5, which provides a combination of data redundancy and performance, with transfer speeds of up to 680 MB/s. Also supported is RAID 0, 1, 6, and 10, each of which provides performance, data redundancy, or a combination of both. For those who do not require a RAID, the R4i may be configured as JBOD.

Please note that the overall storage capacity of the R4i will depend on how it is set up. In its default RAID 5 configuration, one drive is used for data redundancy, leaving 24TB of usable space.
